Speech and Language Therapy Fees

The first step is a home-based assessment session. The fee for total assessment time is £80 per hour. The total assessment time is made up of:

1. A play-based assessment session. This initial face-to-face appointment usually takes an hour. It is a private home visit at a time that suits you. It can also be arranged at your child’s school or nursery if preferred.

2. Writing up the results and recommendations afterwards. We sometimes carry out further assessment, depending on complexity and the child’s attention span.

Speech and Language therapy sessions usually last around 45 minutes, but can vary from 30-60 mins, depending on the child’s attention level.

Parents are active partners in the process. We build time in at the end of the session to debrief.

Our speech and language therapists provide guidance about helpful home practice too and can offer suggestions for helpful further reading.

When return travel time from BS3 3JU is 30 minutes or less, there is no fee.

We calculate travel time using Google Routeplanner, so it is always the same fixed amount.

The fee for travel time over 30 minutes is £30 per hour. So, for example: if the return travel time is 48 minutes, there would be a £9 fixed travel time fee per visit.
